Automatic revisions vs Recovery Points

Automatic revisions are created according to the protection mode. A Recovery Point is a named, pinned revision that stays until you manually remove it.

Use Recovery Points before a mod change, a difficult section, or a restore you may want to undo.

Restore safely

1. Select the revision or Recovery Point.
2. Review the proposed file changes.
3. Confirm the required data is available.
4. Let Rove create a pre-restore Recovery Point.
5. Apply the restore.

The pre-restore point gives you a way back if the selected revision is not the one you intended.

Legacy local backups

Older local backups remain accessible through the desktop app’s legacy backup access. Treat them as another source to review rather than assuming they are part of the current automatic revision history.
