Game cloud saves for everyone.

Your save progress, under your control.

Rove protects game saves locally first, then safely replicates them to Google Drive or your synced folder.

No Rove server. You control where your revisions live.

LOCAL FIRST
THEN CLOUD

The simple version

Protection that starts at home.

Rove keeps the important part — your local revision — on your machine before it thinks about syncing.

1

Add a game

Choose a game and point Rove to its save location.

2

Capture changes

Changed files settle into local revisions as you play and exit.

3

Replicate safely

Upload now, later, or never — depending on your destination and connection.

What it protects

Useful safeguards, without the drama.

See every feature →

Local-first protection

A local revision is committed before any cloud replication is attempted.

Offline-ready uploads

Saves stay protected without internet. Pending uploads resume when you reconnect.

Choose your destination

Use Local only, Google Drive, or a synced folder you already trust.

Recovery Points

Name and pin revisions you want to keep until you remove them yourself.

Review conflicts

Both sides are preserved. Rove asks before it overwrites anything.

Safe restores

Preview what will change and create a pre-restore recovery point first.

Built for the moments between sessions

See what is safe, pending, or waiting for your call.

Activity history, pending uploads, pause controls, and restore previews make the state of your saves legible. No colored-dot guessing required.

Questions worth answering

Good to know before you install.

Rove is intentionally specific: smaller traditional save sets, local-first protection, and transparent tradeoffs.

Does Rove need its own server?

No. Local protection always happens on your Windows PC. If you choose cloud replication, the app writes to your Google Drive or selected synced folder directly.

Will this replace Steam Cloud or another platform cloud?

No. Rove is for games that do not already have reliable built-in cloud saves. It is designed to complement a platform service, not compete with one that works well.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Local revisions continue offline. Cloud uploads wait in a pending queue and resume when connectivity returns.

Does it encrypt my saves?

The website does not promise end-to-end encryption. Google Drive and synced-folder privacy depend on your provider and your account settings.
